Workshop 2: Policy Review Workshop

CCL and CEC affiliated members from the Region will attend Workshops 1 & 2 as part of the Joint Regional Spotlight Initiative. The initiative aims to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG) by developing awareness of the link between VAWG in the family and the world of work.

Workshop o1 focuses on developing broad joint policy positions which are based on a minimum standard for best practices. Workshop two will ratify the document framework developed in Workshop 1.

These workshops are a joint activity between CEC and CCL and will be hosted on the CCLCS conference website (www.cclcsconferences.net) which interfaces with the ZOOM platform.

In preparation for Workshop 1, participants will be given a Draft Working Document. This document was informed by desk research and guided by baseline requirements for effective interventions to mitigate and eliminate workplace GBV of Organisations such as the UNFPA and the ILO. This working document focuses on:

  • Definitions
  • Identification of stakeholders
  • Responsibilities of stakeholders
  • Prevention
  • Reporting mechanisms
  • Response to GBV incidents

 

 

Workshop 2: Wednesday 8th June 2022

Objective: To ratify Working Document informed by Workshop 1, in preparation of the development of a Regional Strategy for implementation. The plenary for this workshop will prepare participants for the implementation phase of the project and focuses on the key considerations for applying and implementing the elements in the working document.
